Wealth Advisor

I started my career in the financial planning industry right after earning my business administration degree from Houghton University, working as a paraplanner for a solo advisor. Life took me in other directions as I married and started a family, but I never forgot how much I enjoyed this field.

After 12 years at home raising our three children, I re-entered the workforce as a receptionist at a financial planning firm. I immediately renewed my paraplanner credentials and began to learn as much as I could about wealth management. I worked in many different roles within that firm, and 10 years later, I earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation and began working with clients as an advisor.

I thoroughly enjoy my role as a wealth advisor for several reasons. First and foremost, I value building meaningful relationships with clients, taking pleasure in understanding their priorities and assisting them in achieving their financial goals. Additionally, I have a passion for both learning and teaching. The financial sector can be intricate and perplexing; therefore, it is immensely satisfying to help clients grasp how our recommendations enhance their financial situation and to see them confidently adopt strategies that improve their financial plan. This could involve explaining to a retiree the impact of their withdrawal choices on their annual taxes, or clarifying the distinctions between an executive's supplemental pension and supplementary savings plan. Each client's needs are unique, and they merit personalized advice crafted specifically for them.

Outside of work, my husband, Mike, and I met at Houghton University and have been married for 30 years. Mike has been a middle school teacher in the East Penn School District for over 20 years. We enjoy spending time at our mountain cabin, our involvement with our local church, and trying to keep up with the active lives of our three adult children.
